Our client, an industry leader in steel manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated and strategic CAPEX Buyer to join their procurement team. As a vital part of the procurement department, you will support the company's growth and operational excellence by managing the procurement of equipment and services essential for steel production.

• Define and implement procurement strategies for CAPEX equipment and services aligned with the company's strategic plan.
• Identify, evaluate, and establish a network of suppliers to support CAPEX projects effectively.
• Select suppliers for equipment and services, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Monitor and report on procurement KPIs, providing updates to internal stakeholders on the status of purchasing activities.
• Ensure contracts are negotiated, executed, and managed within budget and schedule constraints, maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.

• Business or Engineering background with extensive experience in CAPEX procurement and project management.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience, with solid knowledge of project engineering, procurement processes, and contract management.
• Proficiency in SAP and other business information systems, with a good understanding of the steel‑making process.
• Strong negotiation skills, results‑focused, and customer‑oriented with excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
• Postgraduate education in a related field is preferred.
