Civil Project Engineer

Optimus Steel LLC seeks a Civil Project Engineer to support capital and infrastructure projects at our Texas steel manufacturing facility. In this role, you will plan, design, and coordinate civil and structural projects for site improvements, foundations, grading, and utilities that support safe, reliable steel production. You will develop drawings and specifications, manage contractors, and ensure work meets codes, quality, safety, budget, and schedule targets.

Partnering with operations, maintenance, and safety teams, you will drive continuous improvement and help deliver durable, sustainable solutions for our growing plant.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design civil and structural projects for site and facility improvements
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams on project scope and requirements
• Manage contractors and vendors, supporting bidding, selection, and field oversight
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality to meet operational objectives
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for plant infrastructure and reliability
• Develop reports, estimates, and documentation for capital projects
