** Electrical Technician
** to join our maintenance and engineering team.
In this role, you will be the backbone of our plant's operational reliability. You will be responsible for inspecting, installing, repairing, modifying, calibrating, programming, and wiring a diverse range of electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits. If you enjoy a mix of hands-on mechanical work, high-level PLC programming, and complex troubleshooting, this role is for you.
** Key Responsibilities*
* As an Electrical Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
+
** Diagnosis & Troubleshooting:
** Interpret and analyze complex circuits, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings to troubleshoot and repair facility equipment, production thrusters, and electronic devices.
+
** Maintenance & Repair:
** Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble faulty components including motors, generators, compressors, transformers, relays, control panels, switches, and battery banks. Perform work on energized lines when necessary.
+
** Advanced Automation & Systems:
** Design, install, troubleshoot, and implement programs for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), personal computers, and microprocessors. Calibrate and program integrated electronic instruments, combustion controls, and regulators.
+
** High-Voltage & Facilities:
** Install, repair, and maintain high-voltage switch gear, cables, insulators, and associated equipment. Run conduit, pull wire/cable, and execute splices and connector joints.
+
** Cross-Functional Support:
** Conduct mechanical repairs on electrical equipment (bearings, gears, shafts, couplings). Assist Multicraft Mechanics under their direction and maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.

** Documentation & Training:
** Maintain accurate logbooks regarding technical problems, changes, and job status. Actively participate in training sessions for new technologies (including SAP) and equipment troubleshooting.
** Qualifications & Technical Skills*
* To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

** Technical Expertise:
** Strong proficiency in reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
+
** Automation
Experience:
** Proven experience programming, designing, and troubleshooting PLCs and microprocessor-based systems.
+
** Industrial
Skills:
** Experience with high-voltage equipment, A.C./D.C. motor controls, and pneumatic systems.
+
** Mechanical Aptitude:
** Ability to perform minor burning, rigging, limited scaffolding erection, and mechanical repairs on electrical equipment.
+
** Safety First Mindset:
** Strict adherence to safety protocols, circuit isolation, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
+
** Adaptability:
** Ability to thrive on a 12-hour rotating day/night schedule.
** Tools & Equipment You Will Use:*
* + Electrical/electronic testing instruments, gauges, calibration, and programming equipment.
+ Hand drills, grinders, drill presses, pipe threaders/benders, tubing benders, and soldering equipment.
+ Manlifts, forklifts, ladders, slings, shackles, and porta-powers.
** Materials You Will Handle:*
* + A.C. and D.C. motors, mill/production equipment, instruments, meters, gauges, timing devices, and communication/computer cables.
