Sales and Use Tax Staff Tax Accountant

This role is responsible for maintaining and ensuring tax compliance for all 300 office locations. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a minimum three (1-2) years accounting and tax experience. You should have a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask, and be a strong communicator.

This positions directly supports acquisition activities as well a key liaison to many other areas of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage and oversee monthly sales & use tax filings daily operations of the general ledger group within the accounting department

* Establish, monitor and maintain business licenses, property tax, and sales & use tax related to all office locations.

* Assist in development and implementation of new procedures as appropriate

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

* BA/BS in Business/Accounting/Finance or related field

* 2+ years Accounting experience, specializing in tax related activities

* Experience with high volume and a wide variety of operational and financing activities, is preferred

* Previous experience in a company who's main business is retail focused is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

* Solid understanding and experience handling sales & use tax, property tax, BPOL and/or other specialty tax

* Demonstrated ability to work with extreme attention to details.

* Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar accounting software, a plus
