Schedule
:
Mon-Fri 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (40 hours per week) with potential weekend work required to support major school events.
Minimum Position Requirements
:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required. Sound judgment, discretion, professionalism and confidentiality must be maintained at all times. Ability to multi-task and maintain calm and politeness to all constituents during typical busy school day. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, the Google Suite, and Oakcrest Connect database (training provided).
Position Summary
:
Responsible for maintaining front office communication with students, parents, visitors and faculty and staff and managing daily student attendance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
: N/A
- First point of contact for all visitors to the school
- Supervise all doors using security cameras and external intercoms. Greet visitors, assist them as they sign in and arrange for final destination at school
- Manage daily attendance in Oakcrest Connect, confirm student absences by calling parents when parents have not notified the school, issue Late Passes, Student Passes, and Early Dismissal Passes during the day as needed
- Answer phone and assist parents and other callers with questions and requests, check voicemail messages and respond or forward as necessary, maintain front office voicemail message as needed. Change general voicemail greetings for breaks and school closures.
- Prepare Daily Bulletin for homeroom folders, ensuring those folders are prepped before each school day
- Maintain, for record-keeping, all sign in and out logs:
Visitor, Part-Time Faculty & Staff, Students, and Seniors - Maintain and stock front office and workroom supplies (copy paper, office supplies, and coffee service as needed)
- Sort daily mail, receive and sign for packages from UPS, Fed Ex, etc. and notify the recipient
- Coordinate with the Nurse’s office for student illnesses and ongoing health issues
- Greet prospective students and parents as they visit Oakcrest
- Member of the Safety Committee: assist with monthly fire drills, attend monthly meetings
- Help to maintain a good overall appearance of the lobby.
- Attend a CPR certification presentation (renewed every two years)
