Project Engineer, Site Manager

Summary

The Project Engineer role is an exciting opportunity for recent college graduates. This entry‑level rotational program offers a comprehensive, immersive on‑site experience designed to equip you with essential skills in the construction industry. Over the course of 18 months, you will undergo structured training, including 6 months in construction operations, 6 months in pre‑construction, and 6 months in project management. This position is based at one of our job sites in the DC metropolitan area, with additional time spent at our centrally located office in Tysons, VA. As an employee‑owned company, you will also have the chance to participate in Bognet’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Candidates must be fully committed to being on‑site for the duration of the field training program, allowing for hands‑on experience and the opportunity to closely shadow experienced professionals on your assigned projects.

Successful completion of this position can lead to advancement opportunities as an Assistant Project Manager, Bid Coordinator, or Assistant Superintendent.

• High school diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business strongly preferred
• Previous experience on commercial job sites is highly desirable
• A strong passion for the construction industry and on‑site work
• Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Pro Core, and Adobe Suite
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
