Oakcrest School is an independent school for girls in grades 6-12, guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church and the spirituality of Opus Dei. Founded in 1976, Oakcrest is located in Vienna, Virginia, 17 miles west of Washington, D.C. Our students come from the DMV area, and our students, families, faculty, and staff are noted for their deep commitment to the school’s mission.
Responsibilities- Teach Science to students in grades 6–12 with a focus on inquiry, observation, and clear reasoning.
- Engage as a mentor, club facilitator, or coach and participate in the life of the school.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support an independent school environment and all-girls education.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or physics (advanced science degree preferred).
- At least three years of classroom teaching experience.
- An appreciation for an independent school environment and an all-girls’ education.
- Strong commitment to professional growth and collaborative practice.
