ST. MARK Catholic School is seeking qualified candidates to teach middle school science for the 2026‑2027 school year. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree and have an interest in teaching students in a hands‑on science lab environment, along with a desire to work in a Catholic school.

ST. MARK is a mid‑sized Catholic Pre‑K through grade 8 school in Vienna, Virginia, serving about 350 students. Our teachers inspire and challenge young learners across spiritual, academic, physical, emotional, and social domains.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Teaching experience preferred
• A desire to help students grow in faith, knowledge, and service
• Strong communication skills
• Enjoy collaboration with others
• Creative and flexible instructional approach
• Comfort using digital platforms for planning and instruction
• Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom environment
• Ongoing reflection on instructional practice
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

• Create daily and long‑range lesson plans that allow for active learning in the school’s science lab
• Assess student understanding and adjust instruction accordingly
• Oversee and manage all aspects of the 7th grade science fair
• Communicate constructively with parents
• Maintain accurate records in the learning management system (Schoology)
• Complete report cards professionally and punctually
• Pursue professional development opportunities individually and collaboratively
• Provide positive role‑modeling for students based on Catholic faith
• Represent the school in a professional manner
• Maintain safety and order in the science lab at all times
• Other duties as assigned
