In the role of Rail Bridge Engineer
, we'll count on you to:
- Serve in a technical role, under the direction of a Project Manager
- Oversee the work of EITs and Junior Project Engineers
- Prepare detailed engineering designs for rail projects
- Take responsibility for project involvement, ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase
- Perform other duties as needed
- A minimum of 3 years experience in transportation design – railroad projects
- Preference given to local candidates
- Bachelor's degree
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example:
Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. - Hands‑on experience with Microstation, Open Rail Designer, AutoCAD and Civil3D
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting
- MS Office software experience
- Excellent oral and written communication and project management skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions. Temporary and part‑time roles eligible for limited benefits.) {Washington DC}: $91,224- $130,320
