Interim Director of Finance
Undergeneralsupervision,theDirectorof
Financeperformsskilledfiscalcontrolandgovernmentalaccountingwork,providingoversightresponsibilityofaccountingfunctions,andhasakeenunderstandingofaccounting.
Primaryresponsibilityistheoversightofthe Accounting&Budget functions.
Performs reconciliations,advancedfiscalcontrol,budgetary,andaccountingwork.
Thispositionwillneedtoworkwithvariousdepartmentsandagencies.
Employeemustexerciseindependentjudgment,initiative,critical thinking,andattentiontodetailinaccordancewithestablishedpoliciesandprocedures.
- · Bachelor'sdegreeinaccountingorrelatedfield
- · Amaster’sinbusinessadministration,Certified Public Accountant ,oraCertified Public Finance Officercertificationispreferredbutnotrequired .
- · Five+yearsofprogressivelyresponsibleexperienceinaccounting,finance,andbudgetingwithconsiderableexperienceworkingwithcomplexautomatedfinancialsystems,spreadsheet applications,andfinancialreporting.
- · Advancedknowledgeofmodernaccountingincludingtheapplicationofelectronicdataprocessingtothemaintenanceandanalysisoffiscaldata.
- · Mustpossessathoroughknowledgeoffinancialoperations,including budgeting,reporting,taxation,revenue,andapplicablelawsandregulationsgoverningsuchfiscalrecordkeepingandbudgeting.
- · Advancedknowledgeoffederal,state,andlocallawsandpoliciesconcerningmunicipalfiscaloperations.
- · Advancedknowledgeofgeneralgovernmentalandmunicipalaccountinganditscompliancewith
GAAP,GFOA,andGASB. - · Broadknowledgeoffiscal,economicandbudgetanalysis,budgetdevelopmentandmanagement,and statistics.
- · Abilitytopreparegeneralledgers,billing invoices,trialbalanceandotherrequiredaccountingreportsandinformation.
- · Skilledininterpersonalrelationsandverbalandwrittencommunication.
