Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Overview

Green Key Resources is partnering with a well-established, industry-leading organization to identify a Controller to serve as a key member of the finance leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this individual will oversee the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and team development initiatives.

• Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger management, monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reporting package.
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision making.
• Oversee accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and scalability.

• Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable financial regulation.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditor.
• Monitor accounting standards and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a high‑performing accounting team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Establish performance goals and support professional development initiatives across the department.

• Evaluate and enhance accounting processes, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
• Drive efficiencies through automation and system optimization.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to improve financial operations and reporting accuracy.
• Leverage SAP to support financial controls, reporting, and operational effectiveness.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Experience overseeing accounting operations within a large organization exceeding $1 billion in annual revenue.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• SAP experience is required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex accounting functions.

• Public accounting foundation is strongly preferred.
• Experience leading process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA is a plus.
