The Vice President of Equity Capital Markets will support the continued growth of our equity capital markets platform. Reporting to senior leadership, this role will help identify and cultivate institutional capital relationships, support the execution of capital raises, and assist in securing equity for the company's growing development pipeline.
The ideal candidate has meaningful experience in capital markets and a strong foundation of relationships across institutional investors. This individual will work closely with leadership, investment, and development teams to help expand the firm's investor network and support long-term capital markets strategy. The Vice President of Equity Capital Markets participates in and promotes our Mission and Values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Support the execution of the company's equity capital raising strategy under the direction of senior leadership
- Identify, cultivate, and help establish relationships with new institutional and private capital partners
- Help expand the firm's network of equity investors through outreach, industry conferences, and introductions
- Support relationship-building across equity capital channels, including Strategic Institutional Capital and Transactional Institutional Capital
- Maintain and update a pipeline of prospective investment partners and capital sources
- Provide input to leadership on capital market trends, investor sentiment, and fundraising approach
- Serve as a relationship manager for institutional equity partners, in coordination with senior leadership
- Present investment opportunities to investors with credibility and confidence
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of investment materials and due diligence requests
- Support the development of long-term partnerships that lead to repeat investment across multiple transactions
- Collaborate with and support junior team members in a team-oriented environment
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in capital markets, investor relations, private equity, or investment banking with a focus on real estate, infrastructure, or alternative investments
- Experience supporting institutional capital raises for multifamily development preferred
- Existing relationships within institutional or private capital ecosystems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel for investor meetings and industry events
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred
- The expected salary range for this position is $100,000–$200,000, plus performance-based bonus incentive potential, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
