Key Responsibilities
  • Independently conduct and document employee relations investigations involving workplace concerns, policy violations, harassment, discrimination, performance issues, and other employee complaints, including interviews, evidence review, findings, and recommended next steps.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential investigation records and prepare clear, fact-based investigation summaries and other documentation as appropriate.
  • Partner with management and leadership to address employee relations matters, including performance management, corrective action, and separations, consistently and in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace practices.
  • Identify employee relations trends and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risk and improve the employee experience.
  • Independently process and administer FMLA leave requests, including eligibility determinations, required notices, certifications, recertifications, and return-to-work documentation.
  • Independently manage ADA accommodation requests and engage in the interactive process with employees, managers, and other appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidential medical and leave-related documentation in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Track leave and accommodation cases and ensure timely follow-up and appropriate documentation.
  • Coordinate the intake, fact gathering, documentation, and response support for EEOC charges and related employment matters, working with leadership and council as appropriate.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation necessary to support the company's response to employment-related claims and agency inquiries.
  • Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and federal contractor requirements.
  • Support federal contractor compliance activities, including OFCCP-related recordkeeping and audit preparation, as assigned.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding activities, including new-hire paperwork, HR systems, benefits coordination, orientation, and required documentation.
  • Conduct or coordinate employee orientation and ensure employees receive information regarding company policies, procedures, benefits, and expectations.
  • Conduct exit interviews and document feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Respond to employee HR inquiries in a timely, professional, and confidential manner.
  • Support employee satisfaction and engagement initiatives, including surveys, feedback collection, and analysis of employee concerns.
  • Assist with offboarding activities, including exit documentation and coordination with appropriate internal departments.
  • Ensure HR transactions, HRIS updates, and personnel documentation are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
