The Mid System Engineer will implement advanced ArcGIS deployments, analyze and solve technical problems, and optimize performance and organization. You will consult with end users on advanced enterprise deployment, architecture, and integration topics.

• Deploy and configure ArcGIS in a wide variety of environments across operating systems, cloud providers, security architectures, customer types, and organizations, to meet the customer's service level agreement.
• Plan and execute the migration of content from one ArcGIS deployment to another, encompassing different architectures, deployment strategies, and software components.
• Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments, providing guidance for platform components such as storage, networking, and security.
• Work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform.
• Collaborate internally to help customer organizations align their technical objectives and business goals with Esri's technology platform.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities:
• Experience designing, implementing, and/or administering enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems (desktop, server, and online).
• Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux.
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Power Shell, JavaScript, C#).
• Familiarity with network concepts and topics (domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing).
• Experience with at least one RDBMS, including SQL query writing (SQL Server, Oracle, Postgre
  
  SQL).
• Active or Current Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility within the last two years.

• Master’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM-related field.
• One or more industry-standard IT certifications (Esri, Microsoft, Amazon).
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience with Esri software, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Runtime and associated APIs or interfaces.
• Cloud-based system operations (Sys Ops).

• Ability to work independently and be effective within a team setting.
• Capacity to manage multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
• Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and experience training end users on technical issues.
• Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; professional demeanor and prior customer service experience strongly desired.
• Good problem-solving skills; visualizes situations and thinks abstractly to solve problems.
