Business Systems Analyst III (Scrum Master)
Amentum is seeking a Business Systems Analyst III (Scrum Master) to support our agile teams.
Work Schedule5 days, 8 hours/day.
Essential Responsibilities- Facilitate technical discussions, decision making, impediment resolution and conflict resolution.
- Ensure transparency from Product Owner to scrum team by facilitating internal and external communication.
- Continuously assess the maturity of the scrum team and provide coaching and insight to support greater maturity.
- Commit to continuous process improvement, actively facilitating reviews and retrospectives and incorporating lessons learned for future sprints.
- Schedule and facilitate scrum ceremonies (stand‑up, poker, planning, demo, retrospective, etc).
- Work with the product owner to refine and prioritize the backlog.
- Plan sprints based on backlog priority and development team velocity.
- Assist in gathering requirements and creation of user stories.
- Create team dashboards and reports documenting work completed each sprint.
- Help establish the definition of done (acceptance criteria) for user stories.
- Serve as servant leader for the team, ensuring clear communication and organization.
- Engage stakeholders, contributors and technical resources to analyze user needs and resource limitations.
- Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to backlog owners and stakeholders.
- Track and produce key metrics (burndown, burnup).
- Work closely with the resident SAFe Coach SPC.
- Maintain high competency using Jira, Rally, and Gitlab.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of experience serving as a dedicated Scrum Master.
- Scrum Master Certified.
- High competency using Jira and Gitlab.
- Outstanding communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Security clearance required: TS/SCI (ability and willingness to take CI poly).
- AI expertise if applicable to the program.
- Additional certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Jira Software Essentials (ACA‑900).
$120,000 - $130,000 per year.
