Perform risk and vulnerability remediation & mitigation on end-user computing devices. Plan, install, and/or support ETS equipment to include (but not limited to) workstations, printers, servers, routers, switches, electrical systems and equipment, and other circuit specific devices associated with local and wide area networks and emergency power systems. Perform complex/unusual tasks with broad latitude and scope. This is a year-round, Full or Part
-Time, flexible internship based on school schedule.

- Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals in benefit of vulnerability remediation *
- Imaging of desktop and laptop computers - knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) & Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) *
- Conduct remote and in-person vulnerability remediation/ troubleshooting *
- Update desktop applications to meet compliance requirements and user needs *
- Perform monthly patch remediation on non-compliant workstations *
- Clearly and thoroughly document vulnerability remediation efforts within NFCU's IT Service Management tool (Service Now) and track any escalations *
- Resolve vulnerability tickets
* Troubleshoot non-patch related vulnerabilities on workstations (persistent and non-persistent)
* Patch workstations/ Perform patch remediation (update all workstations to the current compliant patch version)
* Update Issue Tickets with action plans/ remediation plans * - Interface with vendors to facilitate vulnerability remediation efforts *
- Continually evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness *
- Troubleshoot hardware and software on vulnerability related issues *
- Ensure compliance with Navy Federal Credit Union information security standards and best practices *
- Performs other related duties as assigned *
- Able to complete assignments within target deadlines
* Basic understanding of AI Prompts/ LLM
* Novice understanding of navigating through various operating systems, file pathways, and registries (Windows OS, MacOS, Linux, etc).
* Qualified degree program in Business Administration, Information Technology, Cyber Security or related field
* Possesses verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to document and apply policies, standards and procedures
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Minor experience in presenting technical solutions and/or recommendations
* Novice knowledge of technical inter-relationships between software/hardware and desktop/Host systems
* Novice skill in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues
* Demonstrated organizational, planning and time management skills
* Basic understanding of research frameworks
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM (minimum of 20-25 hours a week, based on school schedule)
