IT Analyst (Desktop Governance & Compliance)

BRMi is seeking an IT Analyst (Desktop Governance & Compliance) to support a large financial services client. Do not apply if you are not local to either Vienna VA or Pensacola FL as your resume will not be considered.

The Desktop Governance & Compliance department supports operational efficiency, stability, and security across a diverse end-user computing environment. We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst to support governance, risk, and compliance activities focused on elevated access controls, audit readiness, remediation support, and evidence management.

Hybrid in either Vienna VA or Pensacola FL

Salary: $80K-$85K

Responsibilities
  • Strong technical aptitude of desktop infrastructure;
    Ability to translate and communicate technical requirements and theoretical solutions
  • Support elevated access governance activities, including recurring reviews, entitlement validation, recertifications, exception tracking, evidence collection, audit readiness, and remediation follow-up.
  • Review access and control-related requests against business needs, security requirements, policy standards, documented risk criteria, and compliance obligations.
  • Develop and maintain compliance reporting, dashboards, Standard Operating Procedures, and governance reference materials while identifying opportunities to strengthen preventive controls, reduce manual effort, and improve operational consistency.
  • Use Excel, pivot tables, and reporting tools to analyze data, validate controls, and support risk-based decisions.
  • Support projects and process improvements through planning, tracking, and implementation.
  • Build effective relationships with team members, management, business partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years of IT experience formulating and supporting desktop infrastructure technical solutions for access governance, privileged access administration, risk remediation, audit support, compliance reporting, and control validation within end-user computing operations.
  • Experience supporting privileged access management, workstation elevated-access provisioning, entitlement management, recertification processes, Service Now, MyIT, and related reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to present status, findings, conclusions, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute.
  • Experience supporting projects, facilitating meetings, driving process improvement, and working within Systems Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including experience using Excel, pivot tables, and related reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting audits, risk remediation efforts, access reviews, status reporting, control validation, and evidence collection.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to develop action plans and present clear, practical recommendations to management.
  • Self-motivated professional with a positive attitude, sound judgment, and the ability to quickly ramp up in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively while handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications:

  • PMP or similar project management certification.
