System Administrator
The System Administrator provides technical support for JECC workstation and networked peripheral environments. The role includes system installation, configuration, operations, Tier 1-2 troubleshooting, account and permissions management, and support for both NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, and various service-provider-managed operating environments. The System Administrator works closely with Government service providers and serves as a key member of the C5 support team enabling JECC's operational mission.
Key Responsibilities- Perform installation, operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and system removal of JECC-managed servers.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 system administration support.
- Manage user accounts and permissions across NIPR/SIPR domains, Office 365, SharePoint Online, and other systems.
- Install, configure, maintain, and remove desktop and laptop systems and networked peripherals.
- Maintain compliance with security requirements and update baseline images.
- Use approved government ticketing systems and support reporting requirements.
- Support IT operations for exercises, deployments, conferences, and events.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in system administration or enterprise IT operations.
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Experience with DoD networks (NIPR/SIPR/JWICS), enterprise Microsoft environments, and imaging tools.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- DoD 8140 baseline certifications (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CYSA+).
- Experience with DISA, USTRANSCOM, or other DoD IT environments.
- Experience with PKI, SIPR Token Management, and secure system handling.
- Onsite support at Government facilities.
- Support during standard duty hours with on-call availability for contingency or mission-critical events.
- Occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel.
