Opportunity Snapshot
As a Project Manager at Digney York Associates (DYA), you'll lead the planning and execution of hotel renovation projects across the country-delivering on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
This role blends strategy and hands-on execution. You'll manage client relationships, oversee schedules and budgets, guide field teams, and coordinate purchasing and subcontractor performance. Each day brings new challenges, creative problem-solving, and opportunities to make an impact on iconic hospitality spaces.
At DYA, project managers are trusted partners and decision-makers who lead with integrity, communicate with transparency, and take pride in delivering exceptional work.
What You'll Do
As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end success of multiple renovation projects, balancing quality, cost, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead hotel renovation projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations, budgets, and timelines.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with hotel owners, operators, suppliers, and trade contractors.
- Manage project estimates, schedules, budgets, and communications with professionalism and accountability.
- Oversee subcontractor selection, bid processes, and value-engineering strategies to achieve the best possible cost and outcome.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to evaluate progress, quality, and safety.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Purchasing, Accounting, and Executive Leadership to ensure smooth project execution.
- Communicate proactively with clients, providing updates, resolving issues, and maintaining full transparency.
- Track and report project costs, profitability, and schedule status in Sage Timberline and Procore.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture across superintendents, subcontractors, and DYA staff.
* What You Need to Succeed
We're looking for a proactive, results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and values relationships as much as results.
Core Qualifications
- 10+ years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in hotel renovation.
- Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and make sound, timely decisions.
- Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
- Experience with project scheduling, cost control, and change management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, Sage, Bluebeam, or Salesforce preferred (training available).
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (training provided if not current).
While not required, you'll hit the ground running if you bring:
- Experience managing multi-site hotel renovations.
- Demonstrated success in value engineering and cost optimization.
- Knowledge of FF&E and purchasing coordination.
- Experience mentoring or developing field teams.
Projects are located nationwide and require regular travel to job sites (typically one or more visits per week).
