Position SummaryBlue Sky Innovative Solutions seeks an experienced Print Production Specialist to provide professional printing and production support services for a US Government agency. This position will support the full lifecycle of document design, production, and distribution, ensuring all print materials meet quality and schedule requirements as outlined in the contract.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and recommend production methods to meet customer schedules.
- Prepare reports of work in progress and completed work for review and approval prior to distribution.
- Review each Request for Graphics to ensure completeness and clarity of requirements.
- Liaise with customers and the COR to clarify job specifications and expectations.
- Determine appropriate print suppliers and coordinate print procurement with the Printing Office.
- Suggest and maintain policies and procedures governing printing, binding, and related services.
- Operate and maintain high-speed copiers, printers, scanners, plotters, and vacuum presses.
- Perform mounting, framing, binding, cropping, and finishing using specialized equipment and tools.
- Maintain inventory of printing supplies and coordinate repairs and maintenance with vendors.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite 2021 and Microsoft Office 365 to prepare print-ready materials.
- Track work requests, ensure timely delivery, and maintain accountability for all production tasks.
- Meet or exceed daily production goals and established quality standards.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a print production environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office 365.
- Demonstrated experience operating high-speed printers, binding, and finishing equipment.
- Strong understanding of print procurement through GPO or equivalent Federal processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
- Flexibility to travel between work locations in Vienna, VA and Washington, DC.
- Experience supporting Federal agencies or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with Section 508 compliance for printed materials.
- Knowledge of records management and Treasury standards.
