The largest single-specialty allergy practice in the country is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team. We are willing to provide allergy-specific training in this highly sought-after specialty to the right candidate.
Office-based
No nights or weekends
Hands-on specialty training
This is a specialized clinical role designed around quality of care and sustainable practice boundaries. Requirements Two years of clinical experience preferred (in any specialty) but open to new graduates
Urgent care or emergency department experience desired (experience treating anaphylaxis)
NP degree (or expected within six months of application)
Current licensure
Licensed to see both children and adults
Active, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Virginia.
Valid DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
Prior clinical experience in Allergy/Immunology, Asthma, or ENT is a plus, but we are fully equipped to provide specialized training to an experienced family or internal medicine NP.Comfortable practicing independently on site under a collaborative practice agreement (NPs meeting Virginia’s 3-year autonomous practice/Tier 2 framework are highly encouraged to apply).
Job Duties You will see established patients only for routine follow-ups, asthma maintenance, and immunotherapy monitoring. All complex new patient consults and biologics are managed directly by the physician. Would like to work with HR to add this into our job ad.
Exercises professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate treatment.
Develops and implements patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients, and records progress. Consults with physicians as needed.
Prescribes medications, treatments and immunotherapy in accordance with physician protocols and state regulations
Performs patient education duties
Ensures emergency situations are scheduled appropriately; maintains timely flow of patients
Completes all assigned AP training (such as CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance, Information Security, others) within designated time frames.
Complies with Allergy Partners and respective hub/department policies and reports incidents of policy violations
