Walmart is expanding our workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. This role supports and oversees repair of Walmart facilities refrigeration HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital and power tools, and other equipment to maintain the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair Walmart facility's refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and tools.
- Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to Walmart’s refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
- 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
- Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
- Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction experience in commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4 years of such experience.
- Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
- Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.

- Hourly wage range: $30.00–$59.00; actual rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the location.
