Telecommunications Engineer III; Clearance

CONTRACT Telecommunications Engineer III (Requires Clearance + Travel) | Req#4364

Actio Net has an immediate opportunity for a Contract - Telecommunications Engineer III that will be traveling to various locations in the Indo‑Pacific. Travel may be required for 2–8 weeks at a time.

This senior level position includes engineering, installation, integration, verification, and transition of secure infrastructure, communications, IT, and security systems. Responsibilities include site assessments, engineering design, ISP installation, modernization execution, SCIF buildout, software configuration, logistics support, cutover assistance, and final acceptance.

Hourly Rate: $55‑60 plus travel bonuses and per diem

• Repeated ability to lift 25 lbs from floor to above head continuously.
• Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach, and utilize both hands and feet in aerial and underground capacities.
• Exposure to heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration, and very loud noise. Requires ability to sit extended periods, stand, bend, walk, communicate via telephone, computer, or face‑to‑face, monitor, and use basic office equipment.
• Work performed in and out of an office environment.

• Assist in installation of voice and data cabling: copper & fiber optic terminations and installations, CAT.
  5, CAT5e & CAT.
  6, EIA/TIA standards and BICSI guidelines.
• Document network by labeling and routing equipment and cables.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and ISP cabling issues.
• Document weekly and monthly status reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum TS/SCI security clearance.
• At least 7 years experience as Telecommunications Engineer.
• Experience installing SATCOM equipment.
• Must pass a Federal Background check.
• Valid driver’s license and passport for travel.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to make independent judgment and perform repetitive tasks.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
