QUALIFICATIONS- WV Teaching Certificate
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children in school-based programs.
- Ability to enforce safety procedures and maintain equipment and facilities.
- Adequate computer skills and competency in using related software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and use of the Internet.
- Enthusiastic with children and brings positive, playful energy to every session.
- Passionate about math learning and demonstrates the ability to clearly explain math concepts using developmentally appropriate language, visuals, and manipulatives.

- Participate in all trainings related to the math component.
- Implement STC's math block to fidelity and use resources provided. This includes:
- Administer and analyze pre- and post-STAR assessments® and other assessments, as appropriate.
- organizing and maintaining program materials and space.
- intentional planning and preparations.
- regular attendance tracking & progress monitoring requirements are met, as instructed in the math manual.
- Incorporate planning and preparation time into weekly schedule and submit weekly lesson plans to the Program Coordinator.
- Be mindful of diverse learners and make adaptations to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Work effectively with other program and school staff and perform other relevant job duties, as needed.
- In this role it will be critical to foster an environment that is safe for the children with whom Save the Children is in contact. The duties to ensure this will include:
- Collaborate with Save the Children's Lead Associate to foster an understanding of our safeguarding and data protection policies through ongoing training and technical assistance.
- Work closely with all program staff to ensure consistent reporting of safeguarding risks and incidents; strong methodology in the field for managing risks and following reporting protocols; supplying proper documentation in support of incident reports as needed; and collecting data on safeguarding risks and efforts to mitigate risks in the program environment.
- Make intentional, regular efforts to remain up-to-date on key local and state child welfare policies and reporting protocols.
- Follow all key local and state child welfare policies and reporting protocols.
- In association with program training and technical assistance efforts, update/communicate "Keep Children Safe" messaging to volunteers, beneficiaries, and representatives, as needed.
- Ensure data protection by collecting consent, maintaining records for designated time period, storing all data in a secure location, and protecting any shared data through encryption or by sharing to a secure location.
- Complete all required Save the Children Safeguarding trainings.
$30/hour, for 8.5 hours per week, 4 days per week for 110 days
