A teacher of homebound provides Developmentally Delayed Instructional services to eligible students who cannot attend school because of hospitalization, physical/medical impairment or other qualifying circumstances.

EMPLOYMENT TERM:  School Year (as needed)

• WV Professional Teaching Certificate with Pre-K Special Needs endorsement

• 1. Responsible for facilitating instruction on the core courses' content standards and objectives as guided by the student's classroom teacher(s).
• 2. Collects, secures, and understands instructional plans to be delivered to students.
• 3. Delivers assignments and instruction to students, and monitors testing.
• 4. Returns student work to classroom teacher for assessment.
• 5. Strong working/communication skills with students, parents and peers.
• 6. Addresses and implements students Individual Education Plan (IEPS) and 504 Plans and recommends revisions when needed.
• 7. Meets professional responsibilities.
• 8. Maintains professional work habits and adheres to the Teacher Code of Conduct. Includes other duties as assigned.

SALARY: $50/hour and mileage reimbursement

• Applicants who have been dismissed or who have had their contracts non-renewed for cause by another school district are not eligible for consideration;

• applicants who demonstrate unsatisfactory interview performance are not eligible for consideration;
• and, applicants who receive unfavorable reference recommendations will not be eligible for consideration.
