The Boone County Reading Coach provides leadership and support to improve reading instruction and student achievement across Boone County Schools. This position works collaboratively with principals, teachers, and school leadership teams to implement evidence-based literacy practices, analyze student data, provide professional learning, coach instructional staff, and support continuous school improvement efforts. The Reading Coach serves as a district resource to strengthen reading instruction, ensure alignment with the West Virginia College- and Career-Readiness Standards, and build the capacity of educators to improve student outcomes.

This is a 215-day position that is employed and paid through the Mountain State Educational Service Cooperative (MSESC) and assigned to serve Boone County Schools.
Salary is based on the Boone County Schools Professional Salary Schedule in accordance with West Virginia Code §18A-4-2, commensurate with the employee's degree level and years of experience.

Applicants must hold a valid West Virginia Professional Teaching Certificate with a K–12 Reading or English Language Arts (ELA) endorsement.
