Mid-Level Associate – Criminal Litigation & Trial Advocacy

Unnam Law Firm, a top-tier firm is expanding its Criminal Litigation & Trial Advocacy Practice in Vijayawada. We are seeking competent, self-driven professionals with a strong foundation in criminal law to join our litigation team.

The Role

We are looking for associates who can hit the ground running. You will work directly under the supervision of a Partner but must be capable of managing files independently.

- Drafting & Pleadings:
Handle comprehensive drafting for criminal matters, including petitions, counters, and written arguments across various stages of trial and appellate practice.
- Legal Research:
Conduct rigorous, independent research on complex legal propositions (covering both new BNS/BNSS/BSA codes and previous statutes).
- Case Management:
Oversee case files and court proceedings with minimal hand-holding.

Mandatory Requirements

- Experience:

2–3 years of hands-on experience specifically in Criminal Law.
- Bar Standing:
Must have been enrolled with the Bar Council for at least 3 years.
- Language:
Fluency in Telugu (Reading, Writing, and Speaking) is strictly mandatory.
- Aptitude:
Must be a self-starter with the ability to research and draft independently.

Academic Background

- Preference will be given to graduates from National Law Schools (NLUs).
- Exceptional candidates from other reputed universities with a strong track record in criminal litigation will also be considered.
