Work Model: 100% On-site | Monday–Friday, 7 am–4 pm or 8 am–5 pm
LaSalle Network is hiring a Project Accountant for a leading general contractor headquartered in Villa Park, IL. This is a permanent, full-time role offering the chance to work on complex, high-visibility construction projects across the Chicagoland area. As part of a tight-knit team, you’ll be the financial backbone of each project—managing compliance, billing, and job costs from the ground up.
This Project Accountant position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability setting and loves keeping financials sharp and teams aligned.
What’s the job?- Own full-cycle project accounting, including AIA G702/G703 billing and sworn statements
- Collaborate with PMs on change orders (PCOs/PCCOs), cost tracking, and billing documentation
- Maintain contract compliance and track key items (waivers, COIs, affidavits)
- Support AP/AR, vendor invoice processing, and reconciliations
- Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and help scale accounting processes
- 3+ years of construction accounting experience with a general contractor
- Proficiency in Sage 300 & Procore is a bonus
- Strong Excel skills and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Independent work ethic and confidence managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Clear communicator who can collaborate with PMs, vendors, and leadership
