Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant
The Villa Park Public Library is seeking a part-time Accounts Payable Specialist to manage financial procedures, including booking, billing, invoicing, and record-keeping. Performs bank reconciliations and all accounting journal entries. We are looking for someone who is capable of handling multiple tasks, is detail-oriented, and has strong Sage Accounting (or related accounting software) and Excel skills.
Under the supervision of the Library Director, the Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for confidential and detailed administrative and record-keeping duties. In addition, these duties include payroll administration, human resources services, asset tracking, and assisting with the budget.
Other duties include reconciliation of daily cash receipts, bank deposits, supply ordering, staff event planning, coordination of meeting room scheduling and room setup, and assisting the Library Director in achieving the library’s goals and objectives.
QualificationsThis position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, a demonstrated service approach, the ability to work in a collaborative environment, as well as the ability to work effectively and independently. Experience with accounting and payroll processes is strongly preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related degree from an accredited institution is required.
