Physical Education Teacher

Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to promote lifelong physical activity and healthy habits among students. The PE Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while aligning with state curriculum standards.

• Plan and deliver physical education lessons for students in accordance with curriculum guidelines and school standards.
• Teach a variety of sports, fitness, and movement activities tailored to students’ developmental levels.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Organize and supervise physical activities, games, and intramural or extracurricular sports.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student well‑being and academic success.
• Maintain equipment, gym space, and supplies in good condition.
• Enforce school policies and safety procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related field.
• State teaching certification in Physical Education.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Experience teaching in a school setting.
• Coaching experience in school athletics or community sports.
• Knowledge of adaptive physical education strategies.
