The Building Substitute Teacher will perform the regular teacher’s class plan while the teacher is absent.

• Communicate, collaborate, and cooperate with colleagues, supervisors, and students.
• Assume the responsibilities for instructing classes during a teacher’s absence.
• Prepare or modify lesson plans with assistance from an administrator when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of tests, grades, homework, and projects.
• Provide assistance to students who need special help and individual or small‑group support as indicated by lesson plans.
• Support administration and clerical personnel during times without an instructional substitute period.

• Operating standard office equipment and software applications.
• Basic math calculations using fractions, percentages, and ratios.
• Reading manuals, writing documents in prescribed formats, and presenting information.
• Understanding developmental stages and learning styles; designing age‑appropriate activities.
• Scheduling activities, collating data, and using job‑related equipment.
• Problem‑solving, working with diverse groups, maintaining confidentiality, setting priorities, and working as part of a team.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree. License:
Substitute License or higher. FLSA Status:
Non‑Exempt.

$150 to $225 per day.

Physical demands include occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and fine finger dexterity. The job involves 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing in a clean atmosphere.
