Position Overview

Montessori Children’s Academy is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and nurturing Infant‑Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a calm, respectful, and engaging environment in alignment with Montessori principles. Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants and toddlers.
  • Assist the Lead Teacher to implement a Montessori‑inspired curriculum that promotes independence, self‑discovery, and social‑emotional growth.
  • Observe and document children’s progress through authentic assessment and anecdotal records.
  • Maintain daily routines that include care activities, work cycles, outdoor play, and rest periods.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to support the classroom.
  • Model gentle, respectful, and responsive caregiving.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children ages 0–3 in a group setting.
  • Understanding of child development and Montessori philosophy.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and meet the physical demands of working with young children.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Warm, calm, flexible, and professional demeanor.
