2nd Shift Lead VTL CNC Machinist

DuPage County, IL | $27–$35/hour + 10% shift premium + overtime

The machines are here. The work is waiting. We need the machinist who can take ownership of them.

A highly respected heavy gear manufacturer has made a major investment in additional VTL equipment and has a strong backlog of work with no slowdown in sight. That means consistent hours, substantial overtime and realistic first-year earnings over 100K for the right machinist.

• Set up, program and operate Vertical Turning Lathes
• Work independently from blueprint through finished part
• Make programming modifications and machining adjustments on the fly
• Machine large, complex components, including keyways
• Provide technical leadership on second shift

• Strong VTL or vertical lathe experience
• CNC setup and programming experience
• Ability to program directly from blueprints
• Heavy gearing, gearbox or large-part machining experience preferred
• Availability to work approximately 50–60 hours per week

• $27–$35/hour plus a 10% second-shift premium
