This position is Remote to work with a US Company; you will require to have Citizenship or a work permit from Costa Rica to apply for this role.
Role SummaryYou will support and operate enterprise data center networking environments built on Cisco Nexus switching platforms. This role focuses on ensuring reliable connectivity across compute, storage, and virtualization layers while maintaining high performance, availability, and operational stability.
Responsibilities- Support, operate, and maintain Cisco Nexus switches (5K, 7K, 9K).
- Configure and manage data center switching technologies including VLANs, vPC, and routing protocols.
- Ensure reliable network connectivity for Cisco UCS, storage platforms, and VMware environments.
- Troubleshoot network incidents, latency issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Monitor network health, capacity, and availability in enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with compute, storage, and virtualization teams to support integrated infrastructure operations.
- Participate in data center maintenance activities, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and standards.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus data center switches.
- Solid knowledge of data center networking concepts (Layer 2 and Layer
3). - Experience supporting virtualized environments (VMware or similar).
- Proven troubleshooting skills in enterprise network environments.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional infrastructure teams.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience with Cisco ACI fabrics and policy-based networking.
- Familiarity with UCS and storage network integration.
- Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNP Data Center or similar).
- Experience supporting high-availability or mission-critical data center environments.
- English B2+, Spanish C1
