You will own enterprise storage and data protection platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and recoverability across mission-critical systems. This role focuses on administering Pure Storage and Cohesity solutions integrated with VMware environments to support resilient, on-premise infrastructure operations.
Responsibilities- Administer and support Pure Storage platforms (Flash Array and Flash Blade).
- Manage Cohesity data protection solutions, including backups, replication, and disaster recovery.
- Define and maintain backup, retention, and recovery policies aligned with business requirements.
- Integrate storage and backup platforms with VMware vSphere environments.
- Troubleshoot storage, backup, and virtualization performance issues.
- Support disaster recovery testing and recovery operations.
- Monitor capacity, performance, and availability of storage systems.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and virtualization teams to ensure platform stability.
- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational standards.
- Participate in infrastructure planning, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Proven experience as a Storage or Data Protection Engineer in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on expertise with Pure Storage platforms (Flash Array / Flash Blade).
- Strong experience managing Cohesity backup and recovery solutions.
- Solid knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter).
- Experience supporting on-premise, enterprise-scale infrastructure environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across storage, backup, and virtualization layers.
- Ability to work independently and manage critical infrastructure components.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience with disaster recovery design and execution.
- Exposure to hybrid or cloud-connected backup strategies.
- Relevant vendor certifications (Pure Storage, Cohesity, VMware).
- Experience working in regulated or high-availability environments.
- English B2+, Spanish C1
