The Manager of the Surgical Division is a Registered Nurse prepared through appropriate education, training, expertise and clinical competency to provide patient care and supervise personnel providing care in the Operating Room and Post Anesthesia Care Unit or Short Stay Unit/Endoscopy Lab. The Manager is a proficient nurse who has chosen the managerial tract. This nurse has an in-depth knowledge of nursing practice and management.
Responsibilities of this position include working with the Director in providing vision, setting goals, solving problems, promoting organizational development, serving as a leader in quality improvement efforts, assessment of processes within the system and maintaining major relationships with members of the medical staff, patients/families, administrative team, other departments, or vendors. The Manager is responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating and coordinating the nursing/technical care provided utilizing the nursing process.
Bachelor's Degree
ExperienceFive years of related experience. Requires broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures.
Licenses & Certifications- Georgia Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nursing License
- Healthcare Provider (CPR)
- Clinical Certification Preferred.
- Excelled in Clinical Nurse III position.
- Meets requirements for promotion to Clinical Nurse IV.
