Service Technician C

Responsible for performing maintenance on trucks from class 5 through class 8 vehicles and recreational vehicles per OEM and company guideline.

• Diagnoses and repairs various truck systems using hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, precision instruments) and power tools (pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks, hoists).
• Ensures repairs are completed accurately and as per supervisor or work order instructions.
• Maintains correct time punches and work order processes.
• Maintains efficiency standards and attendance policy as required.
• Tags all parts as required and follows all warranty procedures set by each OEM.
• Test drives trucks to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure proper operation.
• Inspects, tests, and listens to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions with instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.
• Keeps work area clean and free of debris.
• Keeps customer vehicle clean during and after repairs.
• Must complete 100% of online Freightliner Technician Training to become Systems Certified in Cascadia, M-2, Western Star, DT12, Detroit Axles, CNG Systems.
• Possess valid A/C certification.
• Possess 3 valid ASE HEAVY DUTY TRUCK Certifications.
• Possess a valid CDL license for the state of Georgia and valid A/C certification.

• High School diploma or better.
• Some college or better.
• Technical or other training or better.
• Section 609 Certification.
• CDL license.
• 3 valid ASE HEAVY DUTY TRUCK Certifications.
• Valid A/C certification.
• Valid CDL license for the state of Georgia.
