Position Overview
Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate for the Electronics Controls Technician position located in Villa Rica, Georgia. The work environment is clean, safe, and climate‑controlled. Pay is $30.84 to $46.26 per hour with an additional night‑shift premium of $2.50 per hour. The schedule is a 12‑hour night shift on a 3/2 rotating schedule from 7pm to 7am (after training).

- Conduct Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out procedures.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment, including motor relays, circuit breakers, machine and process controls, circuits, and electrical distribution systems.
- Modify machinery logic systems (PLC and PC‑based) and work with DC/AC drives (Allen Bradley, Parker, Siemens).
- Read and interpret schematic diagrams and mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
- Acquire and requisition spare parts for power distribution and electrical/electronic systems.
- Perform electrical modifications, upgrades, and new equipment installations, including conduit and wiring system sizing.
- Review specifications and procure power‑distribution materials for new installations.
- Use computerized maintenance software to document parts used and repairs completed.
- Communicate repair actions to operators, leads, corporate engineering, vendors, and internal customers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of plant and process safety rules, maintain good housekeeping, and function as a fire‑crew member or first responder.
- Maintain fire and security systems.
- Knowledge or experience with control‑system hardware and software design.
- Familiarity with electrical codes (NEC).
- Some experience as an electronics technician or similar role.
- Understanding of electrical/electronic systems and troubleshooting.
- Basic ability to work with PLCs, ladder logic, and communication systems.
- Experience troubleshooting servo motors and AC/DC drives.
- Basic knowledge of process‑control systems (temperature, pressure, flow, PID loops).
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
- Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Industrial‑controls experience is preferred.
