Facility Coordinator

If so, we invite you to apply for our Facility Coordinator position.

As the Facility Coordinator, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing all aspects of the 1972 facility. You will help create a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for staff, clients, visitors, and community members while supporting facility operations, events, and revenue-generating initiatives.

What You’ll DoAs a Key Member Of Our Team, You Will Facility Operations & Maintenance
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and facility life-cycle plans.
  • Conduct and document routine facility inspections.
  • Monitor building conditions and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Respond to facility alarms, equipment failures, and operational concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.
  • Manage facility services including security, cleaning, catering, waste management, parking, and reception operations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to support facility needs and event operations.
Leadership & Staff Management
  • Supervise and support frontline team members, including Welcome Desk, Floaters, and Custodial Staff.
  • Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Monitor timecards and staffing levels to ensure smooth operations.
  • Promote a positive, customer-focused culture throughout the facility.
  • Demonstrate leadership while fostering teamwork and accountability.
Customer Experience & Community Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, clients, vendors, and community partners.
  • Participate in initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and overall facility experience.
  • Coordinate meetings, classrooms, lounge areas, and event spaces.
  • Plan and support special events and community activities.
Financial & Strategic Support
  • Assist with budgeting, equipment replacement planning, and facility improvement projects.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Process bank deposits and assist with drawer audits.
  • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities for 1972.
  • Support efficient use of facility space and resources.
Requirements What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile liability insurance.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational, research, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexibility to maintain a schedule that meets operational needs.
  • Professionalism, trustworthiness, leadership, and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, Construction Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in facility operations, recreational services, or business administration.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of human resource management practices.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Strong computer and systems knowledge.
