Assignments run from August 11, 2026, through May 20, 2027. Full-time and part-time roles are available (37.5 hrs/week or.5 FTE), each with a dedicated school and age-specific caseloads. You'll work alongside supportive paraprofessionals and fellow educators, making a difference for students facing significant autism, emotional, or behavioral needs.
Qualifications- Active CO Department of Education Certificate with a Special Education endorsement
- Experience supporting students with significant autism needs; AAC device experience preferred
- Comfort with de-escalating behaviors and implementing data-driven interventions
- Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and other staff
- Previous experience in self-contained or center-based special education classrooms
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Build life skills, facilitate adjustment to school routines
- Manage and support students with a range of developmental, emotional, and behavioral disabilities
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Regularly assess progress and collaborate with families and support teams
