Position Summary

Vincennes University invites applications for a full-time,continuing, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Earth Sciencewithin the Geoscience and Agriculture Department. We seek adedicated teacher-scholar committed to undergraduate education,ethical student development, and institutional service. The ideal candidate will engage students through innovative pedagogy, active learning strategies, and discovery-based instruction, while contributing to the university and broader community.

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality lecture and laboratory instruction acrossa variety of discipline-related courses.
Implement creative, student-centered teaching methods thatfoster critical thinking and intellectual growth.
Potential teaching assignments include:
Geology, Earth Science,Environmental Science, Soil Science, Natural Resources/Conservation, Remote Sensing, GIS, Dendrology, World Geography, and Mineralogy.
Engage in continuous professional development, departmental leadership, and community service.

Qualifications:

Required: Master’s degree in Earth Science, Geology, ora closely related field (OR a Master’s degree in another discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Earth Science/Geology).
