IT Project Manager, Cybersecurity, IT Consultant, Systems Administrator
The Director of Information Technology (IT) provides strategic leadership and oversight of the organization’s technology infrastructure, systems, and services. This role is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of information and communication systems, including voice, data, and business applications, to support both centralized and distributed operations. The Director ensures the security, integrity, and reliability of all IT systems by overseeing cybersecurity, data privacy, backup, and disaster recovery planning.
Additionally, this position drives technology initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, support organizational growth, and align IT strategy with overall business objectives.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Providing leadership, direction, and supervision to the IT team responsible for the development, implementation, and support of technology systems and services
- Serving as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on technology initiatives, risks, and opportunities
- Developing and executing IT strategies that align with organizational goals and support both centralized and distributed operations
- Leads the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology solutions and vendor partnerships to meet current and future business needs
- Oversees IT operations, ensuring system performance, reliability, security, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
- Serves as the organization’s Security Officer, ensuring adherence to data security, privacy, and risk management protocols
- Establishes and monitors performance metrics, reporting, and controls to evaluate system effectiveness and support continuous improvement
- Directs IT project planning and execution, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and deliverables
- Oversees operational and capital IT budgets, ensuring effective financial planning and resource utilization
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to assess technology needs, improve workflows, and support business objectives
- Ensures effective communication and coordination across departments and with external partners to support project success and issue resolution
- Acts as the primary point of contact for major IT incidents, ensuring timely response and resolution of service disruptions
- Participates in organizational and departmental meetings and initiatives
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Minimum of five (5) years in a IT leadership role with direct supervisory experience
- Experience managing IT budgets, vendor relationships, and external partnerships
- Demonstrated experience across key IT functions, including information security, systems administration, project management, and operational support
- Ability to think strategically and analyze complex technical and organizational issues
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, including during high-pressure situations or system outages
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and leadership skills to collaborate with executive leadership, staff, and external partners
- Ability to maintain focus, accuracy, and attention to detail across operational, financial, and security-related responsibilities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion
- Capacity to respond to urgent situations, including after-hours system or security incidents
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and operating office and technical equipment
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, or lifting of equipment up to 25 pounds
- Ability to travel between sites or attend meetings as needed
- Clinical environment with exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous materials, and emotionally challenging patient cases.
- Potential for irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, or on-call responsibilities, depending on the role.
