Opportunity:
General Utility – Knox County Sand and Gravel

Location: Vincennes, IN.

Employment Type: Full-Time.

Wages: Starting at $23.10/hr for entry-level candidates. Additional pay may be available for candidates with experience. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skill set.

Responsibilities
  • Operating a loader feeding the crushing circuit.
  • General plant/mine labor and clean‑up of production areas, including shoveling sand and gravel from around conveyors and assisting with plant clean‑up and operations.
  • Being trained in various other entry‑level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences and increased production demand times.
  • Operate equipment, including but not limited to: skid steer, loader, man basket, telehandler, and the dredge.
  • Report equipment problems and identify them to management.
  • Light maintenance work maintaining the plant and dredge.
  • Complete equipment pre‑shift report – if applicable.
  • Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • Ability to maintain safe working conditions.
  • Self‑motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision.
  • Able to perform a variety of duties, some of which may include plant clean‑up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime.
  • Must pass pre‑employment drug screen.
