• Respond to emergency scenes, including fire, medical, bomb threats, flooding, sprinkler discharge, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
• Arrive on scene, perform size‑up, and relay information to central dispatch and on‑duty supervisor.
• Perform rescue procedures such as vehicle and machinery extrication, high‑angle and low‑angle rescue.
• Execute fire suppression using apparatus, hydrants, hose stations, and extinguishers.
• Respond to hazardous material emergencies and provide spill containment for small and large releases.
• Respond to medical emergencies, initiate patient assessment/stabilization, and transport patients to onsite clinic.
• Relay patient care information to medical personnel.
• Administer treatment of injuries and illnesses per protocols at scene or in specialized vehicle.
• Perform triage during mass casualty incidents.
• Provide standard security duties: unlocking doors, escorting visitors and team members, patrolling buildings and parking lots, reporting irregularities.
• Prepare logs and reports as required.
• Other job‑related duties as assigned.

• N.F.P.A. Firefighter 1 and 2 required.
• Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations Level certifications.
• National Registry or Indiana State EMT or EMR certification.
• Out‑of‑state certifications transferable to Indiana and completed within 90 days of hire.
• Must meet and continue to meet state, county, and local certification requirements for EMT or EMR.
• Physical and mental requirements: vision, hearing, speaking, writing, occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, moving up to 10 lbs, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
