Position Overview

Northeast Precast is seeking a Junior CAD Technician to support our manufacturing and production teams. This entry-level role focuses on creating and modifying CAD models, assisting with CNC programming preparation, and supporting internal fabrication and prototyping efforts.

This position is ideal for a recent graduate with education in CAD, mechanical design, or engineering technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models
• Prepare drawings for internal manufacturing use
• Assist with CAM file preparation for CNC machining
• Support formwork and production aid design
• Collaborate with shop personnel to improve manufacturability
• Maintain drawing revisions and documentation

• Associate degree or technical education in CAD, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
• Proficiency in at least one CAD platform (Solid Works, Fusion 360, Inventor, etc.)
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
• Ability to interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail

$19.00 - $21.00 Hourly

Preferred

• Exposure to CNC machining or CAM software
• Experience with 3D printing or prototyping
