Key Responsibilities
  • Proficiently handle products, services and routine transactions to identify opportunities, educate customers, and refer them to appropriate team members or internal partners.
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of the full product suite, services and processes within the business area.
  • Build and nurture customer relationships by actively listening, engaging in additional conversations, and identifying additional needs.
  • Make product recommendations based on customer needs and highlight features and benefits that support customers during challenging times.
  • Utilize customer relationship management tools to proactively assess customers, identify solutions, and lead outbound sales activities.
  • Independently resolve customer issues, errors and problems, escalating as necessary.
  • Build working relationships with customers and explain detailed or complicated information clearly and concisely.
  • Participate in customer outreach, servicing and advice activities to deliver on the brand’s promise of exceptional service.
  • Engage in conversations with customers about loan products and facilitate the application intake process.
  • Maintain an active registration status with the NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
  • Complete teller training upon hire to process customer transactions such as check cashing, deposits, transfers, and withdrawals while monitoring fraud mitigation.
  • Deliver legendary customer experience by building trust, providing consultative support, and advocating for customers with proactive insights and recommendations.
  • Act as a brand champion internally and externally, educating clients on self‑service options including digital channels.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank Secret Act and Patriot Act, completing operational activities in accordance with company policies and risk frameworks.
  • Participate in daily operations to align with TD’s risk framework and support accurate and timely completion of business processes.
  • Collaborate with team members, support a positive work environment, and participate in knowledge transfer.
  • Cultivate relationships with partner bankers to facilitate referrals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer and/or sales experience in any capacity, or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience.
  • Teller experience preferred; ability to complete teller training upon hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations, educate on products and services, and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills – concise, clear, and consistent.
  • Strong organizational skills to schedule and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently and within deadlines with sound judgment and effective problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Notary license preferred.
  • Must maintain NMLS registration and comply with OCC requirements as a Loan or Mortgage Loan Originator.
  • Passes required criminal background and credit checks.
Licensing & Regulatory Requirements
  • Must have a valid NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry) registration.
  • Eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act.
  • Eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the SAFE Act, 12 U.S.C. §§ 5102 et seq., and its implementing regulations.
