Position: GROUP HOME RESIDENCE SPECIALIST II

Residence Specialist II - Full-Time (40 hours per week) $18.00 per hour

As a non‑profit organization, our dedicated team of professionals, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff, works to diagnose and treat all types of mental illness.

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health‑related field required
  • Knowledge of community resources and agencies preferred
  • Possession of a valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean five‑year driving record that meets organizational standards and qualifies for insurance coverage.
Position Overview:

As a Residence Specialist II
, you will provide assessment, planning, linking, monitoring, and advocacy for clients assigned to supervised residences, many of whom are referred from State psychiatric hospitals. Your role is essential in ensuring clients receive the necessary support for independent living and mental well‑being.

Demonstrates competency in delivering Motivational Interviewing (MI), effectively engaging individuals served through engagement, assessment, and intervention.

Responsibilities:
  • Participation in the development of individual comprehensive service plans.
  • Participation in individual service coordination activities.
  • Communicating observations and information about the clients to the program coordinator, RN and treatment team.
  • Documenting observations, information and services provided to the client in progress notes.
  • On‑site services and support supervising, organizing and supporting recreational and/or socialization activities.
  • Assists in development of social, daily living survival skills.
  • Assists in providing transportation.
  • Promotes usage of community services.
  • Participates in team meetings, including treatment planning.

A Background Check is required. Clear five‑year driving record/abstract with ability to be insured by organization's carrier.
