Shop Worker/Helper
Job Description:Our company is looking for a Shop Helper to serve as an assistant in various areas of the warehouse/fabrication shop. We’re seeking someone with a good work ethic with attention to detail and who likes meeting challenges and can multitask. Opportunities to grow into specialized roles available. This is an entry level position into being a fabricator.
Job Duties:- Duties could include packaging, banding, operating a table saw, assembling parts onto pallets.
- Assisting in unloading and loading of steel trucks.
- Pulling hardware.
- This position frequently uses an overhead crane and forklift to move material around the warehouse and yard.
- Operating various pieces of equipment, including drill line or angle master.
- Provide assistance in maintenance or production work in the shop.
- This job requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs periodically.
- Sweeping and cleaning up regularly to ensure safe working conditions.
Experience:
- Minimum Qualifications 2 years of dependable work experience 1 year of manufacturing/warehouse experience
- Preferred Basic math skills and reading a tape measure.
- High school diploma
- Good listener with the ability to follow directions.
- Positive and professional attitude
- Dependable and detail-oriented
Full-time
Pay:$18.00 - $24.00 per hour (hourly rate depending on experience)
Benefits:- Paid time off
