We are seeking a compassionate & experienced nurse practitioner to join our growing surgical oncology practice. This provider will work closely with Surgical Oncologists to deliver comprehensive care to patients with benign and malignant breast conditions as well as melanoma. The role spans the full continuum of care—from initial diagnosis through treatment and long-term survivorship. This is a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
MAJOR FUNCTION:
Position Responsibilities
Includes but is not limited to
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with benign and malignant breast conditions
- Manage patients across the continuum of care, including diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship
- Perform pre-operative evaluations and provide patient education and counseling
- Conduct in-office procedures, including incision and drainage (I&D) and breast aspiration
- Screen high-risk patients and facilitate genetic testing and counseling referrals
- Counsel patients on breast cancer risk reduction strategies and chemoprevention options
- Coordinate referrals to supportive services, including lymphedema therapy and physical therapy
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Position Experience Required
Prefer experience in surgical oncology or breast surgery
Position Qualifications (details here or list below)
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in NJ
- Active NJ CDS and DEA license
