Cashier Part Time

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth transactions at the point of sale. Your primary responsibility will be to provide efficient and accurate service to our customers while maintaining a positive shopping experience.

• Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in a courteous and professional manner.
• Operate cash registers and other equipment efficiently to process sales transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that checkout lanes are tidy and free from clutter.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Manage exchanges and returns according to established company policies, ensuring customer needs are met.
• Count cash in register at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accurate balances.
• Identify and report any discrepancies, shortages, or unusual activities to management.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance the customer experience.
• Assist in stocking shelves and performing light cleaning duties as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle a high volume of transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with handling cash and electronic payments.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights if necessary.
